Graduated in psychology from PUC-Rio in 1977, Regina’s first encounter with the Systemic Theory, the thoughts of Gregory Bateson and the Strategic School of Milan happened during her Clinical Psychology MA in England (Birmingham University 1981), where she lived for five years.
Back to Brazil in 1982, Regina became a teacher at the department of Psychology in PUC-Rio, where she still lectures. Her career as a teacher includes several disciplines in the psychology graduation and post graduation courses as well as in clinical supervision for graduation students and young practitioners. Regina has also devoted great energy on her career to deepening her formation as a systemic therapist, counseling families and couples(CEFAC ,1988), thus consolidating her private clinic.
The extended vision of the application of the systemic tools to the organizational fields made it possible for Regina to develop projects within companies and scientific and technical courses.
Regina has been participating and supervising the discipline ‘Enterprising Attitude’ at the Genesis Institute in PUC-Rio since1997, and is involved with post-graduation courses in some of the most recognized universities in Brazil (UFRJ, FGV) as well as internacionally (Equador). The main subject of her disciplines includes Innovation and Entrepreneurship ; Management of Change; Efficient Communication; Perception and Paradigm and Teamwork.
As well as teaching, Regina also works as a consultant and coach ,in the areas above, to companies and communities, and has an extensive practice as a clinical psychologist for children, adolescents, adults and families in her private clinic. Her most recent challenge is the construction of a project called ‘ Jardim das Narrativas’- or ‘ Garden of Narratives’, which intends to consolidate and expand narrative practices with individuals, communities and organizations.
