The narrative practices are supported by set of tools as:
•
Externalizing the symptom;
•
Re-authoring;
•
Re- membering;
•
External witnesses;
•
Maps.
These tools only work when coherently inserted in a therapeutical position that contemplates the belief, respect, admiration and curiosities for the singularity of the human existence. People is always placed as experts in their own lives. The practices are constructed from the art of formulating questions and of establishing conversations.
In these conversations, stories and abilities of people’s lives, which have been neglected or ignored, become richly known, supplying the basis for the resolution of the concerns for which the people, organizations or communities have asked for help. |
